Here you can learn and sing the song "Alegria" in Italian, English and Spanish. The lyrics are copied below.

Alegría
come un lampo di vita
alegría
come un passo gridar
alegría
del delittuoso grido
bella ruggente pena, seren
come la rabbia di amar
alegría
come un assalto di gioia

Alegría
I see a spark of life shining
alegría
I hear a young minstrel sing
alegría
beautiful roaring scream
of joy and sorrow,
so extreme
there is a love in me raging
alegría
a joyous, magical feeling

Alegría
come un lampo di vita
alegría
come un passo gridar
alegría
del delittuoso grido
bella ruggente pena, seren
come la rabbia di amar
alegría
come un assalto di gioia
Del delittuoso grido
bella ruggente pena, seren
come la rabbia di amar
alegría
come un assalto di gioia

Alegría
como la luz de la vida
alegría
como un payaso que grita
alegría
del estupendo grito
de la tristeza loca
serena,
como la rabia de amar
alegría
como un asalto de felicidad
Del estupendo grito
de la tristeza loca
serena,
como la rabia de amar
alegría
como un asalto de felicidad

There is a love in me raging
alegría
a joyous, magical feeling

SEVEN WAYS TO COOK THE EGGPLANTS

This is a song very old, more than 500 years, is a sephardic song and it was sung by the spanish Jews and conserved, as many others, from them up today:

Here you can read the lyrics

Siete modos de guisados
se guisá la berenjena
la primera de la guisá
es la vava de Elena
ya la hace bocaditos
y la mete´n una cena
esta comida la llaman
comida de berenjena

A mi tio, Cerasi
que le agrada beber vino:
con el vino, vino, vino
mucho y bien a él vino

La segunda que la guisa
es la mujer del Shamas
la cavaca por arientro
y la hinchi d´aromat
esta comida la llaman
la comida la dolmá

La tracerá que la guisa
es mi prima Ester de Chiote:
la cavaca por arientro
y la hinchi dárroz moti
esta comida la llaman
la comida la alomondrote.

La alburnia es saborida
en color y en golor
ven haremos una cena
mos gozaremos los dos
antes que venga el gosano
y le quite la sabor

En las mesas de la fiestas
siempre brilla el jandrajo
ya l´hacemos pastelicos,
ellos brillan en los platos
asperando a ser servidos
con los güevos jaminados.

La salata maljasina
es pastosa y saborida,
mi vecina la prepara
con mucho aceite de oliva,
estos platos acompañan
a los rostros de gallinas.

La setena que la guise
es mejor y más janina
la prepara Filisti,
la hijà de la vècina
ya la mete en el forno
de cabeza à la cocina
con aceite y con pimienta
ya la llama: una meyína.

TAKE THIS WALTZ - LEONARD COHEN

Leonard Cohen composed one of his most famous songs asdapting to English the poem "Pequeño vals vienés", writen by Federico García Lorca and included in his last book untitled "Poeta en Nueva York".
This is a very good version, with a video filmed directly in the lorquian places from Granada and sung by Mr. Cohen, who recently has been given the 2011 "Prize of letters" Prince of Asturias. Enjoy it...

This video shows a reduced version.
Here you can read and copy the lyrics of the complete version:

Take this waltz

Now in Vienna there's ten pretty women
There's a shoulder where Death comes to cry
There's a lobby with nine hundred windows
There's a tree where the doves go to die.
There's a piece that was torn from the morning
And it hangs in the Gallery of Frost.

Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay
Take this waltz, take this waltz
Take this waltz with the clamp on its jaws.

This waltz, this waltz, this waltz, this waltz
With its very own breath of brandy and Death
Dragging its tail in the sea

Oh I want you, I want you, I want you
On a chair with a dead magazine
In the cave at the tip of the lily
In some hallways where love's never been
On a bed where the moon has been sweating
In a cry filled with footsteps and sand.

Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay
Take this waltz, take this waltz
Take its broken waist in your hand

This waltz, this waltz, this waltz, this waltz
With its very own breath of brandy and Death
Dragging its tail in the sea

There's a concert hall in Vienna
Where your mouth had a thousand reviews
There's a bar where the boys have stopped talking
They've been sentenced to death by the blues
Ah, but who is it climbs to your picture
With a garland of freshly cut tears

Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay
Take this waltz, take this waltz
Take this waltz it's been dying for years.

There's an attic where children are playing
Where I've got to lie down with you soon
In a dream of Hungarian lanterns
In the mist of some sweet afternoon
And I'll see what you've chained to your sorrow
All your sheeps and your lilies of snow

Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay
Take this waltz, take this waltz
With its "I'll never forget you, you know!"

This waltz, this waltz, this waltz, this waltz ...

And I'll dance with you in Vienna
I'll be wearing a river's disguise
The hyacinth wild on my shoulder,
My mouth on the dew of your thighs
And I'll bury my soul in a scrapbook,
With the photographs there, and the moss
And I'll yield to the flood of your beauty
My cheap violin and my cross.

And you'll carry me down on your dancing
To the pools that you lift on your wrist
Oh my love, Oh my love
Take this waltz, take this waltz
It's yours now. It's all that there is.

And this is the translation to Spanish, more or less literal:

pronto contigo
En un sueño de faroles húngaros
En la bruma de una dulce tarde
Y veré que has encadenado a tus pena

And here you can hear and sing the Spanish version, sung by Ana Belén and read below the original poem "Pequeño vals vienés" from Federico...

Ah! Excuse me! I forgot perhaps you can´t dance the waltz... No problem! You can learn it just now! ... 1, 2, 3!
